Jammu: Pakistan had been violating the ceasefire along the border for the past few days. Two Indian soldiers were killed in a similar attack. India responded to the cowardly act on Sunday. The Army also destroyed three militant camps in PoK, destroying three camps in pok, while the fourth camp was also damaged. A large number of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and HizbulHindi Mujahideen militants have been killed in the operation.
The Indian Army has also killed 6 to 10 Pakistani troops in the operation. Army Chief General Bipin Rawat himself disclosed this. Media reports say 30 to 35 terrorists have been killed. This is the first major operation by the Army after an Air Strike by the Indian Air Force at Balakot in PoK on February 26 this year. The operation was launched when Pakistan suddenly opened fire on Indian posts from Saturday night to carry out terrorist infiltration, which continued till Sunday morning.
In retaliation, the Army used the Bofors Artillery Gun in a major operation in PoK. The Operation was carried out in Neelam Valley in PoK on the other side of the Tangdhar sector. Army bombed PoK-run terrorist bases with artillery. In a statement, the army said, the army retaliated and there was a huge loss of life and property in Pakistan. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh himself took command of the Army's action. He was in constant touch with Army Chief Bipin Rawat and spoke to him to take stock of the situation.
