After filming Spirited, Ryan Reynolds seems exhausted, which is reasonable. The actor wrote on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 16, about his "difficult" upcoming Christmas film for Apple TV , and while he stated that filming with co-stars Will Ferrrell and Octavia Spencer was a fantastic experience, he's ready for a vacation now that he's through.
Reynolds captioned the photo, "Perfect time for a brief break from movie creation." However, Reynolds had to do more than just act in Spirited, a musical that reimagines A Christmas Carol with Reynolds as Ebeneezer Scrooge. "Not sure I'd have been ready to say yes to a picture this hard even three years ago," he said of the amount of preparation that went into the role. Reynolds, on the other hand, got a lot out of it. "Singing, dancing, and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell fulfilled a lot of aspirations," he said.
Meanwhile, the entire Spirited team was greeted warmly. Reynolds praised his employees for being "flush" with compassion and expertise, emphasising how important both are to him. He claimed he'll miss "every second" of working with such a "obscenely brilliant bunch of writers and artists" even if he's looking forward to his break.
According to Bustle, the actor offered several updates throughout the filming of Spirited. In July, he posted a selfie of the two on social media, practically in each other's faces, to celebrate his first day of filming with Ferrell. In the caption, his co-star, who plays the Ghost of Christmas Present, is referred to as "one of [his] comedic idols."
