The NCB will now challenge the Bombay High Court bail to Rhea Chakraborty in a drugs case related to the death of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, after the High Court judgement, said, "There are many questions relating in this matter. Therefore, NCB will urge the top court against the bail of Rhea Chakraborty". The Bombay High Court has granted conditional bail to Rhea. The bail plea of Rhea's brother Showik has been dismissed.

Rhea Chakravarty has been granted bail on a personal bond of 1 lakh. She has to submit her passport. Permission from the court has to be taken to move out of Mumbai. At the same, she has to give her attendance at the nearest police station for 10 days per day at 11 am. Once in a month, Rhea will also have to go to the NCB office.

Rhea Chakravarty's advocate Satish Manshinde argued in the court that some charges under NDPS agianst Rhea were wr. Rhea was wrongly taken into custody and kept in jail for so many days. After a lengthy debate, the court granted bail to Rhea in the case. "We put evidence on our behalf before the court and spoke about some of the sections, which the court accepted," said Satish Manshinde. He further said "The manner in which Rhea was arrested is wrong. The behaviour done by three central agencies (CBI, ED, NCB) was wrong". The investigation into the case is continuing.
