New Delhi: In IPL 2021 yesterday, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six wickets. Punjab had scored 195 runs for four wickets in 20 overs, batting first. In response, Delhi easily achieved this target by losing four wickets in just 18.2 overs. After the match, DC captain Rishabh Pant said that he is now enjoying captaining the team. Pant was made the captain of Delhi in place of Shreyas Iyer. Iyer dropped out of this year's IPL due to injury.

After the match, Pant said, "I have begun to enjoy my captaincy now". He also said, "I like to keep the atmosphere light on the field during my captaincy so that no player feels pressured and can enjoy the game and take advantage of the opportunities available." Also, Rishabh Pant praised the opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan saying, "You can learn a lot from the experience of Shikhar and the contribution he has made to the team's victory is worth it. You can talk to him about anything."

Giving credit to his bowlers, Pant said, "The Punjab team got off to a good start, because of which we were under pressure. Even our wickets were not getting much help from the wicket. Our bowlers bowled brilliantly towards the end of Punjab's innings And held them to a score of 195".
