These days south movies are breaking all the records and surpassing bollywood films. One of the most loved movies of this Kantara was dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil released. Kantara was originally released in Kannada on September 30. As of October 31, the film has made over â‚¹250 crore worldwide. The dubbed versions alone account for over â‚¹50 crore of this figure. Various Bollywood celebrities and critics are praising the fims.

Rishab Shetty the director of the film who has also acted in the film in a recent interview was asked which Bollywood actor would be able to reprise his role if the film were to be remade in Hindi. Rishab said, “I don’t know. I can’t think of anyone because I don’t know how I would explain this to another actor. I am emotionally connected to the Daiva Kola sequence. I can’t even explain how I did it myself because it’s an emotional and spiritual journey. You have to believe in it. We have seen all this since we were kids.”

 

Rishab further clarifying his stamen said that , “There are a lot of good actors here, but this character of Shiva, I can’t imagine anyone playing it.” As the actor connects with the film, its story and this culture.

Speaking about the film, Kantara, which translates to the mystical forest, tells the story of a local demigod (Bhoota) who trades forest land to the tribe’s people with a king in 1870 in exchange for happiness. Many years later, when the king’s son grows greedy and wants the land back, he dies due to the wrath of Bhoota. Set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, Kantara follows a Kambala champion, played by Rishab, who comes to loggerheads with an upright Forest Range officer, Murali (Kishore).
