Ranchi: Amidst the Bihar assembly elections, a picture of RJD leader Syed Ali meeting Lalu Prasad Yadav has come to controversy after it went viral on social media. Jharkhand's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again targeted the Hemant Soren government for violating the jail manual.

BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdev said that the jail manual has been violated for quite some time in the Kelly bungalow and it has not stopped at all. He said that today Bihar RJD leader Syed Ali met Lalu Prasad and shared the pictures of the meeting on Facebook and wrote that Lalu Prasad was apprised of the status of Bihar elections.

Quoting the jail manual, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev has said that no one can take a photograph with a convicted criminal. The big question here is, if this picture is taken from mobile, who allowed the mobile to be taken inside the Kelly bungalow? The second jail manual clearly states that there will be no political dialogue with the convicted and the assistant jailer level officer will be present during the meeting.
