Gopalganj: In Gopalganj, Bihar, RJD leader Dr. Ram Iqbal Yadav was shot dead by criminals. Ram Iqbal Yadav was considered very close to Tejashwi Yadav. Ram Iqbal Yadav was attacked by criminals when he was returning home from a marriage function. According to the report, near Rajghat village of Mirganj police station area, miscreants opened fire on him late on Thursday, in which he died. The miscreants who were already ambushed saw them coming on the motorcycle and fired them with bullets.

According to Abhinav Raj, nephew of Ram Iqbal, he was threatened with withdrawal of a case over the call. When he was returning home after attending a wedding program at the night, he was shot and killed near the village. On the other hand, Vinod Singh Yadav, brother of the deceased said that the grandson was murdered on April 27 last. Regarding this, his mother had lodged an FIR in the police station, after which his brother was also abused by the named accused.

He said, a day earlier in the evening, the police had conducted raids against the criminals. Regarding the same, when the brothers were returning after attending the wedding program, they were shot by the criminals. Regarding this murder case, SP Anand Kumar said that the police are interrogating 3 persons by taking them into custody. Three cartridges have been recovered from the spot. SIT team has been constituted under the leadership of Hathua SDPO and an investigation is going on from every angle. SFL team has been called from Muzaffarpur which will give its report after investigation at the spot.
