Patna: According to the information just received, a strange view was seen in the Bihar Legislative Assembly today when an MLA wearing onion garland reached the House. RJD MLA Shivchandra Ram from Vidhan Sabha constituency Rajapakad arrived on Wednesday wearing a garland of onions. The RJD MLA dressed in garlands around his neck to attend the proceedings of the Bihar Legislative Assembly to attract the attention of the government on the issue of onion prices.
According to the information received from sources, Shivchandra said that rising prices will deprive people of their normal food. The price of onion was earlier less than Rs 50 per kg, now it has reached Rs 80 per kg. I had to buy it at Rs 100 per kg.
On the other hand, sources said that they called the promise of setting up a stall providing vegetables at the rate of Rs 35 per kg on the Nitish Kumar government of Bihar as hollow and said that I have not seen any such stall yet. I am going inside the House wearing this garland because I want the Honorable Chief Minister to see this and it should force him to take some serious steps. He demanded that onion should be made available to the poor at the rate of Rs 10 per kg.
