Washington: Everyone is worried today due to the increasing problem of diseases, there are many such diseases due to which thousands of people around the world lose their lives. HIV-related disease AIDS causes kills 320 children every day worldwide.According to UNICEF, a UN body, the main reason behind such a high number of deaths of HIV-aged children aged 0-14 years is not getting proper treatment.
Some 320 children and adolescents died every day from AIDS-related causes in 2018, or 13 every hour, according to a global snapshot on children, HIV and AIDS released by the UN International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) on Tuesday.
UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta said that only 54 percent of HIV-affected children are receiving antiretroviral treatment. At the same time, the world has made a lot of progress in the ongoing fight against AIDS, but it is still not enough. The data released on AIDS also shows that in 2018, more than one and a half lakh new cases of this dreaded disease occurred in children of 0-9 years old. In this way, the number of HIV-afflicted children of this age group has reached 11 lakh.
Sources say that the biggest experts from all over the world are working hard in the quest to cure this disease, the same is being said that soon it is expected to get rid of this terrible problem.
