Road accident in Karnataka, 4 students killed, 2 injured

BENGALURU: On Wednesday, four college students, including a girl, were killed and two others were gravely injured in a vehicle accident on National Highway 75 in Karnataka's Bengaluru Rural area.

Vaishnavi, Bharath, Siril, and Venkat have been identified as the deceased. Siri Krishna and Ankita Reddy have been recognised as the injured. According to authorities, the incident occurred when students from Bengaluru's Garden City College were returning from a café centre in Kolar.

The car hit the road divider, crossed over to the other side, and came under a truck as the driver lost control of the vehicle.  According to the police, the collision occurred as a result of excessive speeding.

The bodies had to be extricated from the wrecked automobile by police. The case is being investigated by Hosakote police.
