Hyderabad: In the Saidabad area of the Old City of Hyderabad, road accident triggered tension. This incident took place last night. Mild tensions prevailed in Saidabad following a road accident involving members of two different communities. According to City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, the incident occurred around 11 pm when a bike rider hit a pedestrian in which the pedestrian injured.

When the news spread rapidly people from two different communities gathered in large number after a two-wheeler hit a pedestrian. Miscreants also pelted stones at each other. Police from nearby Saidabad Police station rushed to the spot and tried to disperse the mob, however, When police personnel from Saidabad unable to control the large mob, along with city police Commissioner all the police higher officials of different wings rushed to the spot and by deploying additional forces brought the situation under control. As the gathering was huge the police sought assistance from other police station and within half an hour brought the situation under control.

Police shifted the two minorly injured persons to Osmania General Hospital for treatment. The senior police officials also visited the area. Sufficient police force was deployed to restore peace in the locality. CP Anjani Kumar said the situation brought under control and urged the people not to believe the rumors.
