A bank employee was shot dead by robbers while he was on his way to attend a party at a friend's house here late last night. The incident took place near Babhani Math on the Hajipur-Jandaha state highway.
According to the news received, late on Monday night, Rahul, a bank employee from Muzaffarpur, was going to attend a party at a friend's house on a motorcycle. Meanwhile, some robbers stopped him with the intention of robbing. When Rahul resisted the robbers, they opened fire. Two bullets hit Rahul. Rahul was badly injured due to the bullet injury.
At the same time, all the robbers fled from the spot. When the people nearby saw the injured man lying on the road, they immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot and took the injured person to a nearby hospital. But due to his serious condition, doctors referred him to Patna, where he is undergoing treatment. The injured youth, Rahul, is originally from Turkey in Muzaffarpur, police said. He works at Axis Bank in Hajipur. He is currently undergoing treatment in Patna. Police officer Baliram Singh said a case has been registered against all the unknown robbers. Police teams have been deployed to search for them. Soon all will be arrested.
