Tiffany Chen, the girlfriend of actor Robert De Niro, has been open about her struggle with "postpartum complications" following the birth of the couple's daughter Gia in April. For her first interview since she and De Niro welcomed their first child together, the 45-year-old actress Gayle King. Robert De Niro originally published a picture of his daughter in May, along with her name, Gia Virginia Chen De Niro. The actor revealed on a US programme that the newborn daughter weighed 8 lbs (around 3.6kh) when she was born. In addition, he said that he and his partner had decided to have the child and that they were ecstatic about their daughter's birth.

Chen acknowledged having a "postpartum complication" Tiffany has revealed to This Morning that she has been dealing with issues after giving baby in her first interview since giving birth. The legendary actor spoke candidly with Hoda Kotb about his evolving role as a father.  “I have certain awareness - when you’re older you have awareness of certain things in life, dynamics, everything, family dynamics,” he admitted. “You can’t avoid learning certain things and how you can deal with those and manage them and this and that, the usual. It’s amazing, but I’m very happy about it.”

According to reports, Robert and Tiffany began dating while filming The Intern. On a romantic getaway in the south of France in 2021, they were seen together. Robert has already been connected to a number of ladies. The six children that the Academy Award-winning actor has as a father. His first wife, Diahnne Abbott, is the mother of his son Raphael, 46, and daughter Drena, 51. Along with his former partner, model and actor Toukie Smith, he welcomed twin boys Julian and Aaron, now 27 years old, in 1995. With his ex-wife Grace Hightower, De Niro also shares a daughter Helen Grace, 11, and a son Elliot, 24.
