Indian batsman Rohit Sharma is in a 14-day self-quarantine in a 2-bedroom apartment in Syndey where he is serving his mandatory 14-day quarantine period. 

According to the report, Opener  Sharma who was in rehab at the NCA in Bengaluru is now in Australia and available for selection for the third and fourth Test matches. However, the opener is managing to get some regular indoor workout done and watch Television in isolation.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has left the Australian to be with his wife Anushka Sharma in India. The cricketer is expecting the birth of his first child in January and is set to miss the final three Tests of India’s ongoing tour of Australia. Before depart, the skipper had some words of motivation for the rest of his teammates as he officially passed on the mantle of Team India’s captaincy to Ajinkya Rahane. Virat asked the entire team to keep showing “intent” on the field
India suffered an 8-wicket defeat against Australia at Adelaide. Now, major setback came for team in the form of Mohammad Shami’s injury. The pacer is likely to sit out of the upcoming Boxing Day Test match, thus prompting interim captain Rahane to select Mohammed Siraj in place of Shami.
