Royal Enfield has recently launched its new roadster bike, the Gorilla 450, in the Indian market. This bike shares a lot of similarities with the Royal Enfield Himalayan but comes with a smaller fuel tank.
The Royal Enfield Gorilla 450 is a newly launched roadster bike by the company. With its design and features, it bears a strong resemblance to the Royal Enfield Himalayan, a popular model in the brand’s lineup.
At the heart of the Gorilla 450 lies a 452cc Sherpa engine. This powerful engine is capable of generating 40 PS at 8,000 RPM and a peak torque of 40 NM at 5,500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, featuring an assist and slipper clutch to ensure smooth gear shifts and enhanced riding experience.
The bike is equipped with 17-inch tubeless tires at both the front and rear. The wheelbase of the Gorilla 450 measures 1440 mm, contributing to its stable ride quality.
The Gorilla 450 comes with a 43 mm telescopic front fork and a linkage-type mono-shock at the rear. These components work together to offer a comfortable and controlled ride, even on rough terrains.
Adding to its versatility, the Royal Enfield Gorilla 450 features dual riding modes: Performance and Eco. These modes allow riders to choose between a more spirited ride or an economical one, depending on their preferences and conditions.
The design of the Gorilla 450 is a blend of modern and classic elements. It boasts a stepped bench seat, an 11-liter fuel tank, and LED headlights. The bike also includes integrated tail lamps with trafficators and an upswept silencer, enhancing its road presence and safety.
The Gorilla 450 is available in three variants: Analog, Dash, and Flash.
Analog: This variant is available in Smoke Silver and Playa Black. It does not feature a TFT cluster but maintains a classic look.
Dash: Priced higher than the Analog variant, the Dash comes with a TFT display and additional features such as the RE app for route recording.
Flash: The top-tier variant, Flash, includes premium features like Yellow Ribbon and Brava Blue finishes, along with advanced technological enhancements.
