Rozgar Mela: PM gives appointment letters to 71K recruits tomorrow

New Delhi:  Under Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute about 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in government departments tomorrow,  January 20.

As per PMO, PM Modi will distribute appointment letters at 10.30 am via video conferencing and will also address these appointees on the occasion.

The Rozgar Mela is a step in the direction of the Prime Minister's promise to give the creation of jobs the highest priority. The Rozgar Mela is expected to serve as a catalyst for increased job creation and give young people meaningful opportunities for empowerment and involvement in national development.

The new recruits, elected from across the country, will work in varoius positions or posts for the Government of India, including junior engineers, loco pilots, technicians, inspectors, sub-inspectors, constables, stenographers, junior accountants, grameen dak sevaks, income tax inspectors, teachers, nurses, and doctors, as well as PAs and MTSs.

During this Rozgar workshop, the newly appointed officials' experiences learning from the Karmayogi Prarambh module will also be discussed. For all newly appointed employees in different government departments, there is an online orientation course called Karmayogi Prarambh Module.

Various union ministers will visit different states for on January to offer jobs to the youth under the 'Rozgar Mela'. 45 ministers in all, including senior officials like Dharmendra Pradhan, Piyush Goyal, Hardeep Puri, and Anurag Thakur, will attend the mela.

Narendra Singh Tomar, a union minister, will be in Bhopal, while Anupriya Patel, Ashwini Choubey, Nityanand Rai, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Hardeep Singh Puri, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Anurag Singh Thakur, and RK Singh will be in Mumbai, Nagpur, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Udaipur, Kanpur, and Union Ministers Pashupatinath Paras in Ranchi, Ajay Bhatt in Jammu, Bhupendra Yadav in Faridabad, Giriraj Singh in Patna, and Pralhad Joshi in Bangalore.

In response to the opposition's ongoing criticism of his government's attempts to reduce unemployment over the past eight years, the prime minister created the "Rozgar Mela" to recruit 10 lakh individuals.
