MUMBAI:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be reaching Maharashtra to unveil several projects worth around Rs 38,800 crore.

One of the key highlights of his visit is the inauguration of 2 metro lines in Mumbai, costing approximately Rs.12,600 crore.  Notably, these metro lines will be open to the public from 4 pm on January 20th.

The Mumbai Traffic Police has issued advice banning heavy trucks on all routes, including the Western Express Highway in the Western Suburb from 12 pm to 9 pm so as to maintain smooth traffic flow during the Prime Minister's visit.

For the visit of the Prime Minister, the police have deployed four units of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), as well as one unit of the Anti-Riot Squad and one unit of the Rapid Action Force.

Also, under the jurisdiction of four police stations, namely BKC, Andheri, Meghwadi, and Jogeshwari, flying activities such as those involving drones, paragliders, and remote-controlled micro-light aircraft have been prohibited from noon to midnight.

The Prime Minster will also launch the National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai 1) and the MUMBAI 1 mobile Application, which can be used to pay for tickets with Unified Payments Interfaceat metro station entrance gates.
