New Delhi:: The Rajya Sabha today, July 27, once again faced adjournment till 12 noon as the Aam Aadmi Party among the Opposition parties deliberated to raise certain issues.
No sooner did the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh raise some issues, than Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu adjourned the House till 12 noon. Simultaneously, the Lok Sabha has also been adjourned till 12 noon.
The issue raised by Singh, could not be heard properly. Yesterday (July 26), the Rajya Sabha Chairman warned the AAP leader to name as he tried to raise his voice on certain issues.
Singh faced the chair's warning just one day after Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh barred 19 opposition MPs from the House for the rest of the week for frequently disturbing proceedings. This was the highest number of suspensions in a single batch in the Upper House's history.
Last November, 12 opposition MPs were suspended for the whole Winter Session for causing a commotion over farm bills during the Monsoon Session.
7 of the suspended members belong to TMC, 7 MPs are from DMK, three TRS, 2 CPM and one CPI.
