Himachal Pradesh: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat met Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Monday, December 20, in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh's McLeodganj. The meeting, which took place at the Dalai Lama's residence, lasted one hour. Following this meeting, the RSS chief met with the president of the Tibetan government-in-exile, Penpa Tsering, and his cabinet, as well as the speaker of the Tibetan parliament-in-exile, Sonam Temphel.
Tsering told reporters, "His holiness (Dalai Lama) has begun meeting with the public since the 15th of this month, and I was the first to be offered that opportunity, and today Mohan Bhagwat ji Sarsanghchalak of RSS was here, and according to him it is very natural that when he is in Dharamshala he should visit His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
During his five-day visit to Kangra and Dharamshala, the RSS chief attended a seminar in Kangra on Sunday attended by about 60 intellectuals, including Central Taliban Administration President and Speaker of the Tibetan parliament-in-exile, Khenpo Sonam Tenphel.
