BANGALORE:  The meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to discuss strategy for the Karnataka Assembly elections in 2023 was underway at a resort on the outskirts of Bangalore on Friday.

The meeting is being attended by Arun Singh, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, former CMs B.S. Yediyurappa, Jagadish Shettar, and D.V. Sadananada Gowda, State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel, BJP National General Secretary B.L. Santhosh, and notable Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders from the state.

The introduction of key projects and the Hindutva agenda in the state, which would help the BJP to win elections, would be discussed at the meet, party officials said. Less than 10 months from now are when the Assembly elections will take place.

The conference would cover the state government's accomplishments, a setback in the revision of textbooks, and statements made by the Karnataka High Court over the recruitment of corrupt officials that damaged the party's reputation.

In the meeting, the performance of the ministers will also be evaluated, and the ruling BJP will receive clear instructions on how to proceed in the limited time left before the elections. In-depth discussion will also be had over the charges of giving royal treatment to the alleged murders of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha and the criticism of the BJP by Hindu organisations.
