Bhopal: Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha has attacked the BJP for the post of president. Yashwant Sinha alleged that the BJP is accomplishing 'Operation Lotus' in the presidential elections as well, in which an attempt is being made to buy votes on the basis of money. Yashwant Sinha said this in Madhya Pradesh. Sinha claimed that a large amount of money is being given to non-BJP MLAs. Because the BJP is afraid of the results of free and fair elections.

In Madhya Pradesh, Sinha had come to meet Congress MLAs. Here he mentioned some news. It claimed that the BJP was eyeing 28 tribal MLAs of Congress. These MLAs can cross-vote to support NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu. Yashwant Sinha said, "I have received information from reliable sources that a large amount of money has been offered to non-BJP MLAs to vote in favour of the NDA candidate. This means that the BJP is doing 'Operation Lotus' even in the biggest elections in the country.

Yashwant Sinha claimed that in the meeting, Umang Singhar said in clear terms that he was being pressured. Umang Singhar is a tribal MLA from the Congress. He has also been an MP in the past. Sinha alleged that apart from Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has used 'Operation Lotus' to oust opposition governments in Karnataka, Goa, Arunachal Pradesh and more recently in Maharashtra. He said that in all this he hears the bells of crisis for democracy in India. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has fielded Odisha's Draupadi Murmu as its candidate for the presidential election. The presidential election will be held on July 18. On July 21, the country will get a new president.
