Rubina Dilaik, known for her roles in popular TV serials like 'Choti Bahu' and 'Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki,' and a winner of Bigg Boss 14, is a proud mother of two young daughters. In her recent podcast series 'Kisi Ne Bataya Nahi,' which she hosts on her YouTube channel, Rubina opened up about her approach to parenting, particularly regarding her daughters' diet.

During the podcast, Rubina discussed the importance of dietary choices for infants and revealed that there are specific foods she avoids giving to her daughters. She emphasized that she does not include two key ingredients in their diet: sugar and salt.

Rubina explained, "In the first year of a baby's life, it is crucial not to introduce sugar. My daughters are currently four months old, and there is frequent advice at home to start them on solid foods, such as fruits, rice, and even sweets like halwa. However, I firmly believe that until my children’s pediatrician advises otherwise, I will not introduce sugar or salt into their diet. It is essential not to give sugar or salt to babies during the first year. Even if we prepare food like Cerelac or other similar products, they should not contain sugar or salt."

She emphasized her commitment to following medical advice and maintaining a healthy diet for her children. Her stance aligns with general recommendations for infant nutrition. According to UNICEF, "Before six months, only breast milk can meet all of a baby's energy and nutritional needs. After six months, you can start introducing soft foods such as porridge, mashed fruits, or vegetables."

Rubina’s approach highlights the importance of careful dietary choices in the early stages of a child's development. Her decision to avoid sugar and salt reflects a broader understanding of infant nutrition and a commitment to ensuring her children receive the best start in life. Parents may find this guidance useful when making decisions about their own children's diets.
