Monday;July 25,2016:Rupee depreciated by 13 paise at 67.21 against the dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market.
As per the forex dealers said, "fresh demand for the US currency from importers and a lower opening in the domestic equity market put pressure on the rupee".
On the last session the rupee had appreciated by 9 paise to close at a fresh one-week high of 67.08 against the US dollar.
However, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 66.73 points, or 0.24 % to 27,736,51 in opening trade today.
