KIEV: Ukrainian intelligence has stated that Russia is deploying a new terrorist organisation to assassinate Kiev's leadership amid the ongoing conflict, according to media reports.

Ukrayinska Pravda, the Chief Directorate of Intelligence under Ukraine's Defense Ministry noted on Facebook that "another group of militants associated with Yevgeny Prigozhin, a Russian propagandist close to President Vladimir Putin and owner of a Russian mercenary group called Liga (Wagner), began arriving in Ukraine on Sunday."

"The main goal of the crooks is to destroy Ukraine's top military and political leadership." The major objectives of the organisation, according to the intelligence agency, are President Volodymyr Zelensky, Head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Yermak, and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Putin personally directed one of Russia's few proxies to launch further assaults. "All prior attempts have failed and resulted in the elimination of terrorists," it claimed.

According to the agency, Russia is continuing its efforts to "destabilise the Ukrainian government, demoralise society, derail the resistance movement, and delay Ukraine's international cooperation."

"Organizing killings of key officials in our country is part of the occupiers' strategy... The Ukrainian army, special services, and law enforcement are well aware of the Kremlin's intentions. We are prepared to oppose the invader from both the front and the back. "There will be no successful terrorist strike."
