Moscow: Diplomat Leonidchenko has responded to the Russian Federation's allegations of destroying Ukrainian cultural property. Sergei Leonidchenko, head of the legal section of Russia's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, commented on the West's allegations of destroying Ukraine's cultural values.

The diplomat noted the destruction of Serbian cultural sites in Kosovo and reminded the United States and the United Kingdom of the loss of cultural heritage caused by their actions in Iraq and Syria.

according to Leonidchenko, "There, about 100 Serbian cultural and religious sites were destroyed or seriously damaged by NATO bombings the rest were "burned to the ground, blown up or demolished" by the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army. He referred to the actions of the West as "the systematic and targeted destruction of cultural wealth".

The diplomat also said that the actions of the Ukrainian authorities are aimed at eliminating everything Russian in society in order to turn the neighboring state into an offensive construct called "anti-Russian". "Only neo-Nazis are capable of doing this to their citizens."

Leonidchenko also claimed that the US launched an "unprovoked, unreasonable war" on Iraq. He said that as a result of US actions, Iraq has lost much of its priceless cultural heritage. They claim that tens of thousands of valuable artifacts were looted in Western states and ended up in private collections.

Earlier, historian and political scientist Sergei Galani discussed how Ukrainian authorities are attempting to blur the identities of people living in the country's southeast. According to Galani, "a political experiment for a long time on the purposeful recoding of cultural values shared by Russia" was carried out on Ukraine, and "total "brainwashing" was intensified."
