Moscow: Spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the Russia-based Eural Federal University for his contribution to the development of inter-cultural friendship between India and the Russian Federation. Sri Sri also signed a Memorandum and MoU which is in regard for an agreement with Shri Sri University in Odisha. It is the country's first alcohol, drugs and smokeless complex.

According to an official statement, Eural's rector Victor Kokarov praised Mr. Sri for voluntarily operating an organization like 'The Art of Living'. The organization provides free education to 80,000 children in 618 schools. In his acceptance speech, Mr. Sri said that education is the only thing that is necessary to build a peaceful society. This is the tool that can spread love and harmony around the world.
