South Africa defeated defending champions Australia by a margin of 10 runs on Saturday in the ICC World Cup-2019. Following defeat,  Australia lost top place in points table and India have come first with a win against Lanka. Australia will now take on England in the semi-finals. The semi-finals between India and New Zealand will be played.

Chasing a target of 326 runs set by South Africa, Australia were bundled out for 315 runs. Chasing a victory target of 217 runs, Australia were all out for 315 in their second innings. For South Africa, Rabada took three wickets and Pratorius and Fehlukwayo took 2-2 wickets. Imran Tahir and Chris Morris won 1-1.

Australia's start was poor and their captain Finch was out for 5 runs. Steve Smith also returned on a total score of 33 runs. While the Aussies kept falling wickets, Warner, on the other hand, kept the left and scored a powerful 122 runs, but still failed to win. Alex Carey, who scored 85 runs on 69 balls, was adjudged man of the match. For Africa, Du Plessis scored 100 runs and Racy Van der Dusen scored 95 and Quinton de scored 52.
