New Delhi: Sachin Tendulkar, popularly known as the Master Blaster in the cricket world, has selected his best XI of the recently concluded 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Tendulkar said that he has selected the playing XI on the basis of the performance of the players this season and not on the reputation of the players. He has appointed his team captain Hardik Pandya, who has made Gujarat Titans the champions.
Talking about IPL 2022 Best XI on his YouTube channel, the 'Lord of Cricket' said, "It (this season's team) has nothing to do with the reputation of the players or their past performances." It is purely based on their performance this season and what they have managed to achieve this season. Hardik Pandya has been named captain by Sachin, who has won the first trophy under his captaincy in the first season.
Tendulkar has picked Jos Buttler and Shikhar Dhawan as the openers as he wants a left-right combination. At number three, Sachin has placed KL Rahul, who has scored two centuries this season. Tendulkar is going to play captain Pandya at number four. David Miller has been selected at number five, who has emerged as a strong match finisher this season. The big hitter pair of Liam Livingstone and Dinesh Karthik has also been included in his team by Tendulkar. With this Tendulkar has picked Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal as his main bowlers.
