Bhopal: BJP's firebrand leader and MP from Bhopal, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, often gets the party trounced for their controversial statements. She created controversy by calling Mahatma Gandhi's killer Nathuram Godse a patriot. Sadhvi has kept distance from BJP MPs from Gandhi Sankalp Padayatra even after ten days. The Bharatiya Janata Party has been taking out Gandhi Sankalp Yatra across the country since October 2, which will end on October 31 on Sardar Patel Jayanti. In this padyatra, all BJP MPs are marching with party officials in their respective Lok Sabha constituencies.
Sadhvi Pragya did not join the padyatra on the occasion of Navratri fasting on Jayanti, after which the party said that the program of her padyatra has been prepared after Navratri. It is being said that Sadhvi did not attend the video conferencing called by BJP President Amit Shah and Executive Chairman JP Nadda before the padyatra. Ten days have passed since the Gandhi Sankalp Yatra. In such a situation, questions are being raised within the party that what is the reason for Sadhvi not joining the Padayatra.
Even before this, Sadhvi has been involved in controversies many times. She questioned the martyrdom of police officer Hemant Karkare. Before the Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi's killer Nathuram Godse was described as a patriot. PM Modi expressed his displeasure at this statement of Sadhvi.
