Goa: In anticipation of New Year gatherings, Goa Police has established specialized teams to combat the use of narcotic drugs. These teams will be active across coastal areas and venues hosting events like the Sunburn EDM festival, as tourists begin arriving in the state for celebrations.

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Police have announced stringent measures, including strict checks on drunk driving, traffic regulations in key areas, and heightened security citywide. Key locations such as MG Road, Brigade Road, Residency Road, St Marks Road, and Church Street will witness traffic restrictions on December 31 and January 1, 2024, ensuring public safety amid anticipated large gatherings.

Lucknow: Implementing Section 144, Lucknow authorities have limited public gatherings in malls, bars, restaurants, hotels, and other public spaces during the New Year celebrations. The district administration has enforced these measures in the interest of maintaining order and ensuring public safety in the city.
