Lucknow: Raj Mishra, a member of the priestly family of the Maa Vindhyavasini temple in Mirzapur, UP, joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Sunday along with hundreds of his supporters. Describing SP chief and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav as a rising leader, he said that Akhilesh had done a very good job while he was CM.

Akhilesh Yadav welcomed Raj Mishra to join the party and said that he was confident that he would continue to get the blessings of mother Vindhyavasini. Referring to the US elections, Yadav said that its message would go far. He said that the BJP is a politics of hating and dividing society. Socialists always believe in harmony, respect for all and work for all.

According to media reports, citing the US poll, Akhilesh Yadav said that the press people there told that President Trump has lied more than 22 thousand times, but there is no place for lies in India. Only the way of truth can lead to the welfare of society and country. He said that the farmer is most unhappy in the country. The BJP government has done the work of harassing them by introducing new laws. There is a crisis on the farming of the farmer. They are left at the mercy of the market, it is like enmity with the farmers.
