Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party has announced a sports person's cordon program across Uttar Pradesh on August 29 to mark the National Sports Day, celebrated on the birth anniversary of hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand. The top command has also geared up to make the program announced earlier by the SP a success. In a tweet, SP chief and former CM Akhilesh Yadav urged the players of the state to make the player cordon a success.

 

SP national president and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav tweeted that the SP will organize a 'Khiladi Ghera' across the state on the occasion of National Sports Day on August 29. In his tweet, he said that he appeals to sportspersons of various sports to join the program on their issues and shake the foundation of neglectful power. Players come forward.'

Akhilesh Yadav had announced the organizing of the 'Khiladi Ghera' program saying that the aim was to raise the voice of the players. He had accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of opacity and favoritism in the selection process of sportspersons, talent search flaws, a limited number of sports academies, lack of sports equipment, etc.
