Recently, Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav had appealed to take the road in support of party MP Azam Khan.

According to sources, SP National President Akhilesh Yadav will perform on 9 September in support of Azam Khan. Akhilesh Yadav will reach Rampur and lead the demonstration. All the top leaders of the party along with former CM of the state Akhilesh Yadav will participate in the demonstration in Rampur. On Tuesday (September 03), at a press conference, Mulayam Singh Yadav defended his party MP Azam Khan. He had called it a political conspiracy on several cases filed against Azam Khan in the last few days.

Mulayam appealed to all activists and leaders of the Samajwadi Party to stand in support of Azam. Mulayam had said that he himself would be involved in this.
