The actress is will be next seen in a mythological film Shaakuntalam is one of the most anticipated in Tollywood. Her most awaited film Shaakuntalam got postponed again as per some media reports.
According to the information, Shaakuntalam was scheduled to be released this month, on February 17. However, the makers shared a statement to announce that Shaakuntalam got postponed and a new release date will be shared very soon. The film is directed by Gunasekhar, the venture has been backed by the production banner Gunaa Teamworks.
The statement read, “WE REGRET TO INFORM OUR BELOVED AUDIENCE THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RELEASE SHAAKUNTALAM THIS 17TH OF FEBRUARY, WE WOULD BE ANNOUNCING THE RELEASE DATE SOON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND LOVE.” The post was shared with the caption, “The theatrical release of #Shaakuntalam stands postponed. The new release date will be announced soon.” Recently Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada' postponed. The film features Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, was initially scheduled to hit the theatres on February 10, 2023. It will now hit the theatres on February 17.
The mythological drama is based on Kalidasa's Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The story revolves around an epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant of Mahabharat. This prestigious project has its music composed by Mani Sharma. The ensemble star cast includes Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami and many other notable actors. The filming for Shaakuntalam was wrapped up in August 2021. Allu Arjun's daughter, Allu Arha will also be making her Tollywood debut as prince Bharata in Shaakuntalam. The film will be released in Telugu Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada on February 17, 2023.
