New Delhi: Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S23 series will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 1. Although the launch is imminent, pre-orders for the phone are now being accepted in India.

There will be three models available: S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra. Along with several other benefits, those who pre-reserve the handset will get an e-voucher worth Rs. 5,000. The launch of Samsung's much-awaited flagship smartphone series has finally been announced.

Additionally, the company is allowing potential customers to pre-reserve their handsets ahead of the release of the S23 range to avail early delivery and other benefits. The S23 series will compete with Google's Pixel 7 lineup and Apple's iPhone 14.

A Galaxy S23 device can be pre-booked for Rs. 1,999. The amount will be reduced according to the purchase price.

The Samsung S23 series will feature a triple rear camera module, an under-display fingerprint reader, and a centre-aligned punch-hole cut-out. As per the report, the S23 and S23+ models could feature 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screens, respectively.

A 6.8-inch QHD+ display with 2,200-nits peak brightness and 2,200Hz PWM dimming could be available with the S23 Ultra. The phones will provide 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy S23 and S23+ could include a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. A 200MP ISOCELL HPX main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and 10MP zoom and telephoto lenses with 3x and 10x optical zoom are reportedly included on the S23 Ultra. For selfies, the gadgets may feature a 12MP front-facing camera.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, along with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, will power the Galaxy S23 series.

The battery on the S23 and S23+ could be 3,900mAh and 4,700mAh, respectively. A 5,000mAh battery can be added to the S23 Ultra. All three should run Android 13 and offer the most recent connectivity options.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be available for pre-order from February 1 and will go on till February 8. Price and availability information will be made available at launch.
