USA: The cover display for the Galaxy Z Flip5 is being improved by Samsung. The 3.14-inch outer screen of the clamshell-style foldable phone has been confirmed by tipster Ice Universe.
Recent concept renders of the phone from Technizo Concept show a much larger cover display. Interestingly, more sources have confirmed the mockup, leading some to believe that this new design is the real deal.
Given that rival companies like Motorola and OPPO have already unveiled a secondary display that is noticeably bigger and more useful, the outer screen is one of the most important aspects for Samsung to take into account.

In 2021, the small panel outside was stylish. The situation has changed, though. If Samsung doesn't take action, the cover screen might end up being a flaw in its flip-style foldable devices.
Ice Universe put together a fairly comprehensive list of all the information about Samsung's fifth-generation foldable smartphones a few weeks ago.
According to the tip, the Galaxy Z Flip5 will have an outer screen that is 3.4 inches square and has a nearly 1:1 aspect ratio. The gadget will be water-resistant, with an IPX8 rating. A new display technology will be added for a more engaging on-screen experience.

In association with YouTuber Super Roader, Technizo Concept published concept art for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 on March 25. The concept renders were "200000 percent real," according to the creators. The cover screen, which resembled a "My Files" app icon that had been horizontally flipped, was relatively larger but odd-looking in the images. The device was previously said to have two distinct exterior display sections.
Independent sources have confirmed that the Technizo Concept concept renders are "pretty spot on." A mockup image based on the real design shared by Technizo Concept was also created by the publication.
A "water droplet" hinge will be used on the Galaxy Z Flip5, which should narrow the space between the two halves and result in a slightly slimmer device when folded.

One UI features, widgets, and icons that are useful for daily tasks are anticipated to be added to the outer screen. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is comparable to the S23 series, is expected to power the device.
