Actress Sangita Ghosh has been staying away in Chandigarh while her family is in Mumbai. When she sees her husband, polo player Rajvi Shailendra Singh Rathore, and their nine-month-old daughter Devi, she makes an effort to make up for lost time.

She acknowledges that this is what made their most recent trip to the Golden Temple (Amritsar) so memorable. Spending quality time with my husband and my daughter is never easy. Although she is the love of my life, I don't feel bad about being away from her because I enjoy my work. I love my family very much, but I also love myself. The 46-year-old continues, "I know my child is in good hands as she has a fantastic father. I am doing this ultimately for my family.

Ghosh had back-to-back shooting commitments in Punjab, so staying in Mumbai wasn't an option. Instead, the actor made Mohali, close to Chandigarh, her base for a considerable amount of time.

I sincerely hope that one day my daughter will be proud of me. I want to be a good role model for her, and I feel good about it. I try to be with her as much as I can. The actor from Divya Drishti says, "It is undoubtedly very difficult, but we try to concentrate on spending quality time rather than quantity, which is what matters.

For them as a family, taking a break was crucial, so their trip to the Golden Temple provided that break.

It was long overdue for the Bhram actor as well. "Despite having been together for almost 12 years, this was our first trip to Amritsar and the Golden Temple. It was actually the three of us' first trip together like this, so it was a lot of fun, she says.

The actor talks candidly about her daughter's trip, saying, "I was really worried about how she was going to handle the trip and whether or not she would be cranky, but she was really cheerful throughout. She made the entire trip so much fun.
