Sangrur by-election: AAP's credibility at stake

Amritsar:The prestige of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is at stake over the by-election to The Sangrur Parliamentary seat of Pt. Jab. The first by-election is being held in the state after the formation of the AAP government under the leadership of Bhagwant Man Singh. In such a situation, from THE AAP to the BJP, the Congress and the Akali Dal have put their whole lives. If the Sangrur seat is taken out of aap's hands, Kejriwal's party in lok sabha will come down to zero, as Bhagwant Mann was the only MP of aap before becoming the CM of Punjab.

In Punjab, the BJP is contesting the Lok Sabha by-election in Sangrur for the first time in its political history. The BJP has only bet on Dhillon, who has left the Congress and joined the party. Dhillon had contested on a Congress ticket in 2019 and is now in the fray from the BJP. In such a situation, AAP has fielded Sarpanch Gurmail Singh in sangrur Lok Sabha by-election to save the legacy of Bhagwant Mann.

At the same time, Simranjit Singh Mann from Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) is in the fray. The Congress has again given another chance to Dalveer Singh Goldy, who lost the assembly elections from Dhuri at the hands of Chief Minister Mann. The Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has fielded Kamaldeep Kaur Rajoana, the sister of Balwant Singh Rajoana, a convict in the murder of former CM Beant Singh.
