Maharashtra: Shiv Sena has targeted Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari for delaying nomination of 12 members in Maharashtra Legislative Council. Yesterday, Shiv Sena spokesperson and MP Sanjay Raut has targeted Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. He said in a statement, "Is the Governor waiting for the Mahavikas Aghadi government to fall and form a government of its own".

Sanjay Raut also said, 'People sitting in constitutional posts should uphold constitutional values. The constitution clearly mentions that on the recommendation of the Cabinet to the Governor, it is mandatory to accept the name sent to the Legislative Council. The Governor will have to clarify whether you want to keep pending the proposal to nominate the members of the Legislative Council till the Government of your choice is formed.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anil Parab, Minority Welfare Minister Nawab Malik and Medical Education and Cultural Minister Amit Deshmukh on November 6 went to Raj Bhavan and submitted a list of 12 names to nominate them as members of the Legislative Council.
