Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who was always in discussion with his statements, claimed on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi met underworld don Karim Lala in Mumbai. Raut said in his claim that Indira Gandhi used to meet Karim Lala in Paidhoni in South Mumbai. He claimed this during a media group event in Mumbai. On this matter, the Congress spokesperson said that he would give any response only after seeing Raut's statement. As it may be known, Raut's party is running a coalition government in the state with NCP and Congress.

For your information, let us tell you that Raut said that in the underworld of Mumbai from the 60s to the early 80s, Karim Lala, Mustan Mirza alias Haji Mastan and Vardarajan Mudalaire used to be three don. At the same time, they used to decide who would be the Commissioner of Mumbai Police and who would sit in the State Secretariat. When Haji Mastan came to the ministry, the whole secretariat used to leave work to see him and go down.

According to information received from sources, it has been learned that Raut recalled the days of the underworld in Mumbai and said that once there used to be the rule of the underworld in Mumbai, today there is nothing like the underworld. It is also being said that gangsters like Dawood Ibrahim, Chhota Shakeel and Sharad Shetty used to control the metropolis and surrounding areas. Later everyone left the country and fled. Raut, who was a journalist at one time, claimed that he had also taken photographs of several gangsters like Dawood Ibrahim and at the same time he had also rebuked him.
