Actor Sanjeev Kumar had established his unique identity in Bollywood. Sanjeev Kapoor was the creator of the acting world. In Hindi cinema, Sanjeev Kumar is a name that is remembered not only for his acting skills but also for his affairs. This famous actor of Bollywood had to go through very odd circumstances at that time.

Born on 9 July 1938 in Mumbai, in a middle-class Gujarati family, Sanjeev Kapoor, who had dreams of becoming a hero in films since childhood. To fulfil this dream, he enrolled in the Acting School. In the year 1962, he gave a screen test for Rajshri Production's film Aarti, in which he could not pass. Sanjeev first got a chance to work as a lead actor in the 1965 film Nishan. From the year 1960 to 1968 he struggled to make a mark in the film industry.

After the film Hum Hindustani, he went on to accept whatever role he got. Meanwhile, he acted in several B grade films like Smugglerd Pati Patni and Ishq, Badal and Gunhgar but none of these films were successful at the box office. In the 1968 film Shikar, Sanjeev appeared as a police officer. The film was completely focused on actor Dharmendra, yet he managed to leave a mark of his acting. He also received the Filmfare Award for Supporting Actor for his strong performance in this film.

He was honoured with the National Award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in the film Dastak, which was released in 1970. The audience got to see a new dimension of his acting in the film 'Koshish'. Playing the role of the dumb in this film was a big challenge for any actor. Without telling the dialogue, telling everything with just eyes and facial expressions was such an example of Sanjeev's acting talent that hardly any actor can do. He was conferred with the National Award for Best Actor for the second time for his outstanding performance in this film.
