SAGAR: "Today, at the Sant Ravidas Temple event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the realization of deserved respect for Dalits, backward classes, and tribals. He expressed that his government's paramount focus lies in uplifting the impoverished and empowering all sectors of society.

During his address after performing the Bhoomi Poojan at the Sant Shiromani Gurudev Shri Ravidas Memorial Sthal in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district, the Prime Minister highlighted a significant transformation. He noted that, for the very first time in the nation's history, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals are receiving the acknowledgment and honor that they are entitled to.

This event marked the inauguration of the memorial, a project costing over Rs 100 crores. In addition to this, PM Modi inaugurated rail and road sector projects worth more than Rs 4,000 crores. He took this opportunity to reflect on the range of developmental initiatives undertaken by the Central government for the welfare of tribals and other marginalized communities.

"In the birthplace of Sant Ravidas Ji, Banaras, a temple underwent renovation. I had the privilege of attending that momentous event myself. Furthermore, the Global Steel Park in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal has been dedicated to the memory of Saint Ravidas Ji. The responsibility of developing significant sites related to Babasaheb as Panch Teerth has also been shouldered by us," mentioned PM Modi.

"Likewise, museums are currently under construction in several states across the nation, aiming to immortalize the remarkable history of tribal societies. Our government initiated the tradition of celebrating Bhagwan Birsa Munda's birthday as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas," he added.

The Prime Minister also recalled the renaming of the Habibganj railway station to honor Rani Kamalapati of the Gond community. He highlighted that the Patalpani station was named after Tantya Mama. In this context, PM Modi reiterated the significance of this moment, where, for the first time in India, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals are being accorded the esteem and recognition they have long deserved."
