Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has attacked the central government over the arrest of Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Mamata Banerjee has accused the central investigative agencies of misuse while targeting the Center over the arrest of Satyendra Jain. Let us tell you that after the CBI raids on the premises of the family of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mamata Banerjee had made the same allegations against the Center. When action was taken against NCP leader Nawab Malik on money laundering charges, Mamta said the same thing. Not only this, Mamta had also accused the Center of misusing the investigating agencies regarding the ongoing ED investigation against her nephew and TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee.

However, the High Court had ordered to prosecute Abhishek. Now on the arrest of AAP leader Satyendar Jain, Mamta has reiterated the same allegations and said that BJP wants to silence the opposition by using central agencies. Do these investigative agencies work only against Jain, Nawab Malik? Why not against BJP leaders? Mamta Banerjee said that the BJP government at the Center has become adulterated. These people destroyed the economy of the country. Steps like demonetisation proved to be a failure. This was a big scam.

At the same time, on this arrest, Kejriwal said on Tuesday that I have personally studied the arrest case of Satyendra Jain by the ED, it is a complete fraud. We neither do corruption nor tolerate corruption. We have a very honest government. Kejriwal linked the probe agency's action with the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections and said that Jain was targeted for political reasons. We have faith in our judiciary.
