Mumbai: At the 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Chairman Mukesh Ambani has made a major announcement related to the deal of Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil company. Mukesh Ambani has announced the inclusion of Saudi Aramco chief and Saudi Arabia's Public Wealth Fund Governor Yasir al-Rumayyan on the board of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).

It is said to be a precondition for the $15 billion deal. Last year, during the AGM, Ambani said, "Last year, I shared with you the basis of equity investment by Saudi Aramco in our O2C business. Due to unforeseen conditions in the energy market and the corona epidemic situation, the deal did not progress according to the original timeline. We expect this process to be completed by early 2021."

Addressing the 44th AGM of RIL today, Mukesh Ambani said that our trade and economic success has been higher than expectations since the last annual general meeting. But the human efforts of the RIL during this difficult time have given us more happiness than our professional performance.
