Kolkata: BCCI president and former captain Sourav Ganguly believes that pink ball looks better than red. The first Day Night Test match is being played with pink ball at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata between India and Bangladesh. In this match, Indian captain Virat Kohli has played a brilliant innings of 136 runs.

Asked how Kohli faced the challenge of the pink ball, Ganguly replied that "he is a run machine". Regarding the visibility of the pink ball, Ganguly said that, 'Actually, it is easier than the red ball.' Ganguly said that it is a great success for 60 thousand people to come to the stadium and watch the match on the first day. He said, 'A lot of people came to the stadium and saw the match, which is very important. I was not under anyone's pressure, but I was busy.

However, as a batsman, Ajinkya Rahane feels that batting in the light in front of a pink ball is not easy. According to Ajinkya Rahane, it poses a challenge for batsmen when the pink ball takes late swing. Rahane said, 'Evening time is always a challenge. In the first session, the ball comes to the bat well and there is not much movement in it. Later, due to dew, the strategy changes. To overcome this, you have to play positive cricket in the first session.
