New Delhi: Sourav Ganguly, the BCCI chief and former captain of Team India, has made his remarks about starting a political inning before the West Bengal assembly elections. However, Dada did not directly forbid his coming into politics. He says he will consider it when the opportunity comes. Ganguly, who is still resting at his home in Kolkata. He has undergone an angioplasty after a minor heart attack. There was speculation about Dada's joining the BJP amid poor health for a long time.
In a conversation with a private news channel, Ganguly said that we will see what happens next. How many opportunities come along the way. Ganguly said that his life has been full of surprises and he has no clue as to what is going to happen in his life. Dada said, ''When I became the captain of India for the first time, I did not expect it because Sachin was captaining the team. If Sachin had not resigned, I would never have become a captain. Similarly, when I became the Chief of BCCI, I had no idea that I would sit in this post. The way my life has been. So we'll see where it goes."
Dada further said that 'opportunities come and you are affected by a lot of things, your family, lifestyle, work, health, we will see what happens next.' However, Ganguly said that people love him. He said that 'I talk to people and it is my nature.' The BJP is making every effort to knock out Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal. Now film actor Mithun Chakraborty has also joined the BJP.
