Are you tired of feeling embarrassed due to bad breath? You're not alone! According to statistics, around 55% of people worldwide suffer from oral health issues, leading to bad breath. Despite regular brushing, many people still experience bad breath, which can be a sign of underlying health issues.

We spoke to Dr. AP Singh, a medicine and general physician at Yashoda Hospital in Ghaziabad, to understand the causes of bad breath. He explained that often, people don't rinse their mouths after eating, leaving food particles stuck in their teeth and gums. These particles are then broken down by anaerobic bacteria in the mouth, producing sulfur compounds that cause bad breath.

Other reasons for bad breath include poor oral hygiene, cavities, gum inflammation, pyorrhea, and not cleaning the tongue properly. Even dentures can sometimes cause bad breath.

But don't worry, there are simple solutions to get rid of bad breath. Dr. Singh suggests using a mixture of mustard oil and salt to massage your gums, which can help eliminate bad breath. Chewing on roasted cloves and mulberry can also provide relief. Eating a pinch of fennel after meals can also help prevent bad breath. Additionally, consuming tulsi and pudina can also help freshen your breath.

To maintain good oral hygiene, it's essential to brush your teeth at least twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed, and to clean your tongue properly. Rinsing your mouth with water after meals can also help prevent bad breath. In conclusion, bad breath is a common problem that can be easily solved with simple remedies and good oral hygiene practices. By following these tips, you can say goodbye to bad breath and hello to a fresher, more confident you!"
