NEW DELHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind national head Maulana Syed Arshad Madani and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat met on Friday (30 August). According to the information received, the meeting between the two leaders took place on Friday evening. Arshad Madani's close quarters have confirmed the meeting.
According to the information provided by the sources, the two leaders have discussed maintaining the Hindu-Muslim unity with the prevailing situation in the country. The meeting discussed the deepening tension between India and Pakistan following the decision to declare Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as two Union Territories and abolish Section 370 of the Constitution granting special status to the Valley.
With the passage of the bill on triple talaq recently, talks have been held between the two leaders on other issues in the country. Recently, the National President of Jamiat Ulma e Hind expressed his deep concern about the deteriorating communal atmosphere in the country.
