Dehradun: Recently, the SIT, which is investigating the scholarship scam, has filed a case of embezzlement of government money against the management of the institute and SB college of Vikasnagar. Earlier, the SIT has arrested the owner of an educational institute in Premnagar and sent him to jail. The SIT has started clamping down on educational institutions in Dehradun in the case of SC and ST student students showing fake admissions. In this episode, prosecutions against 3 institutions have been registered.

According to the information, the first lawsuit has been filed by the Deputy Inspector Sukhpal Singh in the SIT against the director of the institute at Mehunwala in Patel Nagar Kotwali. It was told that from 2012-13 to 2014-15, Rs. 2,15,72,800 was released by the District Social Welfare Officer.

Government money was imposed by showing fake students' admission: It has been learned that from 2011-12 to 2016-17, scholarships worth 2,68,61,000 were distributed to the college. Wide irregularities in scholarship distribution were detected. As per the mandates, there was a provision to transfer the scholarship amount to the bank accounts of the students till 2014, but the scholarship was directly transferred to the bank account of the institute. The third case of scam has been filed against the Institute and Research. Scholarship distribution scam has been caught in 3 more colleges. Lawsuits have been filed against the directors of these institutions in Patel Nagar, Sahaspur and Vikasnagar police stations. Based on the facts, action will be taken against the operators. The investigation is still under consideration against other institutions.
