A team of researchers at Duke University in the US have developed nanoparticles that can convert the carbon dioxide into methane. CO2 harms the environment, but methane gas can be used as a fuel.

This research has found the amazing catalyst that will fasten this process, that is Ultra Violet rays. Researchers are planning to experiment this process in natural light, which will be more efficient and less expensive.

Jie Liu, professor of chemistry at Duke University said, "The fact that you can use light to influence a specific reaction pathway is very exciting. This discovery will really advance the understanding of catalysis.”
